“Bshvil HaMachar” Association leads outdoor journeys for discharged combat veterans, creating an opportunity to process experiences from military service and reconnect with themselves.
As part of the collaboration, the Kafatznikim take part in these journeys and undergo a personal and group process over several days. The journey combines hiking in nature, guided emotional conversations, tools drawn from the worlds of resilience and mindfulness, and shared living.
The journey creates a safe space where the paramedics can step away from the rush for a moment, share their experiences, support one another, and rebuild a sense of meaning and identity after intense experiences during their service.
It is a transformative experience — both personal and collective — that helps them keep moving forward with an open heart and their heads held high.
