Today, Gaya serves in the reserves while pursuing her dream of attending medical school.

Ya-El is a Clinical Scientist, trained in both Israel and the United States. She has been living in New York City for the past 14 years, where she is raising both of her children. Prior to her clinical career, she served as a special forces paramedic in South Lebanon and the West Bank from 2002 to 2006.
